Next week marks the start of winter break for Mountain View High School, and students are excited for the time off. Many are heading out of town, while others will stay close to home in Loveland to celebrate the holidays.
Out of the students I interviewed, more than half are leaving the state to visit family or take trips. One student, Tristin Roelle, shared that he will be heading to Nebraska to spend time with his family over the break. Others plan to relax and enjoy local holiday traditions in Loveland.
I also asked students if they thought our winter break is too long or too short. Most agreed that the break feels too short and said they would like an extra one to two weeks to rest and recharge before returning to school.
Whether traveling or staying local, students are ready to enjoy the holidays and take a well-deserved break.
